Do I need any experience to fly tandem?
No, you don't need any prior experience for tandem flying. You only need to be able to take a few steps to start – that's it. We (and our paraglider) handle the rest for you.
What is the weight limit for tandem paragliding?
For tandem flights, there is a weight limit of approximately 120kg. We request your weight on our booking form to ensure that we can provide the appropriate equipment and arrangements for your flight.
What is the age limit for tandem paragliding?
Children weighing 25kg or more can fly with parental consent. We've even had passengers as old as 89 years. So, age is certainly not a barrier!
Do you have children with you who don't fly?
If you're traveling with children who aren't interested in flying or are too small, you don't have to miss out on a tandem flight. One parent can wait at the landing site with the children while the other parent goes for the flight. After the first flight, you can easily switch, allowing the second parent to enjoy the flight adventure. It's a straightforward process. Just inform us during the booking that you'd like to fly one after the other, and we'll make it happen without any issues!
I am scared of heights. Can I fly tandem?
Absolutely! We've discovered that passengers who are afraid of heights can indeed have an enjoyable tandem paragliding experience. When paragliding, you sit comfortably and securely in a harness, supported "from above" by the paraglider. During the flight, you lose your connection to the ground, and this often helps diminish any fear of heights.
If, at any point during the flight, you feel scared, your pilot will be there to take care of you and, if you wish, they can expedite your return to the landing site. Throughout the entire flight, you can communicate with your pilot to ensure your comfort and peace of mind.

Am I insured as a passenger?
Each pilot on our team carries special liability insurance that is legally required, providing comprehensive coverage to protect both the passenger and the pilot during the tandem flight. Therefore, you don't need to have your own insurance for your tandem flight.
Can several people fly at the same time?
There's nothing quite like flying, except flying with your loved ones! We're delighted to offer you the opportunity to share the flight experience with multiple people through a simultaneous take-off phase.
When you book 2 or more flights at the same time, we will assume that you want to fly together. Typically, this can be arranged for groups of 2-3 people.
If the group exceeds 4 people, we may organize the flights sequentially. For instance, 2 people might fly at 10:00 am, and the other 2 at 11:30 am, ensuring everyone can enjoy the experience.
Which pilot will fly with me?
Most of the time it will be Stefan. Also for larger groups Steffi, Bene or Klaus. If the workload is high, we may refer you to external tandem pilots. We will let you know when you book.
Can spectators come along too?
Certainly, everyone is welcome to join in the fun! Whether it's grandma, grandpa, mom, dad, brother, husband, or the kids, there's ample space at the take-off point for your entire family, friends, and work colleagues. Spectators can choose to watch from the take-off site or greet you at the landing area. It's an experience the whole family can enjoy together!
I can't keep my appointment.
If you cannot keep your appointment, please contact us immediately. For cancellations made 4 days before the scheduled date, we can provide a full refund for your booking. Cancellations made within 3 days to 24 hours before the agreed appointment will incur a 50% cancellation fee. If you cancel on very short notice within 24 hours, the cancellation costs will be 100%. How long does a tandem flight take?
We have for you different flights compiled.The flight duration typically ranges from 10 to 45 minutes, and we have a variety of options. We can enjoy a serene morning flight together or actively search for thermals and perhaps even soar alongside the eagles.
Please note: Now during the winter season, longer duration flights might not be feasible due to the absence of thermals. However, we're still more than happy to take you on a flight experience.

What do I wear for the tandem flight?
In summer: It's important to bring a windproof jacket and closed shoes (please avoid sandals or flip-flops). Sunglasses are a good choice for protection against the wind, which can reach speeds of approximately 35 km/h. Rest assured, we provide all the necessary equipment such as a helmet, paraglider, and harness.
In winter: We strongly recommend bringing gloves with you. You are also welcome to come to us directly in your ski outfit (but with hiking boots) and your own helmet with ski goggles.
The following applies: It's better to bring too much clothing than too little. If it is unexpectedly warm at the launch site, you can always conveniently stow excess clothing in your harness.
I wear glasses. Can I wear the glasses?
Of course, you can also wear your glasses normally when flying tandem. However, if the sky is clear, it is advisable to wear sunglasses. With glasses/sunglasses, you are well protected against the wind.
Where do I meet my pilot?
On the agreed day, we'll meet you promptly at the valley station of the cable car (Elferlifte or Schlick 2000, depending on your booking). From there, we'll ride up together to the take-off point.
How do we get to the take off?
You can reach the starting point conveniently by cable car. At both the Elfer lifts in Neustift, we take off right next to the mountain station. In the ski and hiking area Schlick 2000 in Fulpmes, we'll take a short walk of about 5 minutes together to reach the take off.
What kind of ticket do I need to go up?
To go up with the gondola you need a one-way ticket (single ride). The price at Elfer lifts is 13,50€ and at Schlick2000 20,10€.
With a Stubai guest card you get discounts on both gondolas. Should you stay overnight in Stubai Valley in accommodation that includes the Stubai Super Card then for you it's free to go up with gondola to the take off (1 ascent and descent per day Elferlifte/Schlick 2000 included).
Can I take photos myself?
As a passenger, you have the advantage of having both hands free, allowing you to capture photos and videos with your own camera. However, please be aware that we cannot take responsibility for any potential damage or loss of your items. It's important to ensure that your camera or smartphone can be securely attached to you using a cord or similar device to prevent any mishaps.
For optimal enjoyment of your flight experience, we highly recommend our photo and video service (available for an additional €30 per person). This way, you can fully savor your flight while we capture unforgettable moments, providing you with photos and videos perfect for sharing on social media or treasuring as memories of your adventure.
The weather is bad - and now?
In the event that we need to cancel your tandem flight due to weather conditions, we will make every effort to contact you as early as possible. Cancellations typically occur 1-3 days before the scheduled flight day, and we will reach out to you through WhatsApp, SMS, or email. Even when weather forecasts appear promising, local wind systems or other factors may arise, leading to flight restrictions shortly before take-off. We kindly ask for your understanding in such cases and will work with you to find an alternative date for your flight. Your safety and enjoyment are our top priorities.

When is the best time to fly?
Anytime! For thermal flights, the prime time is from May to September when the air is pleasantly warm, and thermals are at their best. But flying over a freshly snow-covered winter landscape is an incredibly unique experience that everyone should try at least once in their lifetime. We offer flights on any day with suitable flying weather, XNUMX days a year.
And where does the jumping take place?
In paragliding, we don't jump; we take off. This is unlike skydiving, where you jump out of an airplane and experience free fall. In paragliding, we start from a suitable starting point on the mountain and take a few steps into the air. There is no sensation of free falling when flying tandem, which can often be a frightening experience for some.
What are thermals?
Thermals are essential for extending our time in the air with a paraglider. When flying tandem, we harness the power of rising warm air, or thermals, to lift us upward. The masters of riding thermals are none other than the birds themselves!
Can you also fly in winter?
Yes, absolutely! Paragliding in the winter is an incredible experience. Picture this: when Mrs. Holle brings fresh snowfall overnight, you can take to the skies the next morning and glide over a landscape blanketed in pristine snow. Every peak, tree, and rooftop is hidden beneath a deep layer of white gold. We believe that everyone should have the chance to experience this at least once in their lifetime.
How dangerous is paragliding?
Paragliding is sometimes perceived as a high-risk activity, but it can be perfectly safe if you follow some essential guidelines. There are three primary risk factors in our sport:
- The pilot
Paragliding training involves numerous exams and assessments. Only after accumulating years of experience in solo flying are individuals eligible for tandem training. This is followed by specialized training and various evaluations. Tandem pilots are required to obtain an aviation medical certificate as proof of their physical fitness. As a result, you can rest assured that tandem pilots possess exceptional flying skills, years of experience, and a strong sense of responsibility. - The weather
We closely monitor the weather conditions in Stubaital and its surroundings every day of the year. We will only take you on a tandem flight when the weather is suitable. In all other cases, we prioritize safety and choose not to fly. - Equipment
In paragliding, we have to do a yearly check, similar to a car inspection. We regularly ensure that the equipment is in top technical condition and always ready for safe use.

Payment and vouchers
How do I pay when booking online?
You can pay for your flight either in cash directly after landing to the pilot or online through the booking form.
We strongly recommend paying in cash! Why do we do this? It makes refunding easier for both sides. For instance, if you've reserved a thermal flight, but the weather conditions on your chosen day aren't ideal for a long flight, we'll only charge you for the shorter one. If you've paid online, we'd have to refund a portion. If you pay in cash, you'll just pay less and that's it.
How can I order a voucher?
Under vouchers, you can easily purchase a voucher from us. After ordering, we will send you your voucher by email in PDF format. Give the voucher away digitally or print it on paper. In the email, you will also find a voucher code with which the recipient can book directly with us online.
How do I pay for a voucher order?
Please fill out this form. We will then send you an invoice by email with the payment instructions. You can buy vouchers from us in advance via bank transfer.
What happens after purchasing a voucher?
After placing your order, you will receive a beautifully designed voucher in PDF format via email. You can choose to share the voucher digitally or print it on paper. Additionally, the email will include a voucher code that the recipient can use for direct online booking with us.
How long is the voucher valid?
All vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of issue.
Can I give my voucher to others?
Absolutely! All of our vouchers are fully transferable without any restrictions. You can easily share the voucher along with the voucher code with friends or family and bring joy to their lives!
